Bira SMART cu CARBS!

Carbohydrates (also known as Carbs) are a type of macronutrients found in a variation of foods and drinks. Starches, sugars and fibers are all carbohydrates. Carbohydrate rich foods containing more fibers are more beneficial to our health and well-being, compared to those containing more simple- or added sugars.

Some people, e.g. people living with diabetes, should pay more attention to their carb intake. Therefor the Horacio Oduber Hospital in collaboration with the medical institute ImSan, created the “Bira SMART cu CARBS!” tool. This folder contains extra information on carbohydrates and the amounts of carbohydrates in different, locally consumed, foods.
